Patch Adams Movie Quotes (1998)

Robin Williams (Hunter Patch Adams): And my report will read IDGARA: I don't give a rat's ass.

Harold Gould (Arthur Mendelson): You learn anything about proctology yet Patch? Good, take care of this asshole for me, will ya?

Robin Williams (Patch): You treat a disease, you win, you lose. You treat a person I'll guarantee you'll win.

Robin Williams (Patch): Yeah, I could do it. We both know you wouldn't stop me. Let's think about the logic. You create man, man suffers enormous amounts of pain, man dies. They say you rested on the seventh day, well maybe you should have spent that day on compassion.

Robin Williams (Patch): We need to start treating the patient as well as the disease. Hunter Patch Adams: We can head on down to the maternity ward. You know those chicks put out.

Harold Gould (Arthur Mendelson): See what no one else sees. See what everyone chooses not to see... out of fear, conformity or laziness. See the whole world anew each day!

Patch Adams Trivia

Perfect Storm Movie Quotes (2000)

Mary Elizabeth Mastrontonio (Linda Greenlaw): Oh... now c'mon, look, I'm happy. I'm happy, I'm fit to do this. I just don't see the romance in it.
George Clooney (Captain Billy Tyne): But you got it, Captian Greenlaw, you do. Believe me, I see them come and go. The day I laid eyes on you I said to myself, "She's gonna be a good one." Can't be good unless you love it. The fog's just lifting. Throw off your bow line, throw off your stern. You head out the South Channel, past Rocky Neck, Ten Pound Island. Past Niles Pond, where I skated as a kid. Blow your airhorn and throw a wave to the lighthouse keeper's kid on Thatcher Island. The birds show up -- black backs, herring gulls, big dumb ducks. The sun hits ya, head North, open up to 12, steamin' now. The guys are busy, you're in charge. Ya know what? You're a goddam swordboat captain! Is there anything better in the world?

Mark Wahlberg (Bobby Shatford): I got a woman who I can't stand to be two feet away from.
George Clooney (Billy): Congratulations.
Mark Wahlberg (Bobby): Then again, I love to fish.
George Clooney (Billy): Son, you've got a problem.

Perfect Storm Trivia
Did you know?
That the story is true?

That the storm was called the Halloween Storm and happened in November of 1991.

That actor Mark Wahlberg stayed in Gloucester long before filming to get a feel for the character and town. He even stayed in the room of the real Bobby Shatford. That the role of bobby was originally offered to Nicholas Cage who had other commitments?

Planes, Trains & Automobiles Movie Quotes (1987)

John Candy (Del Griffith): Was that seat hot or what? I feel like a Whopper. Turn me over, I'm done and ready. I'm afraid to look at my ass. There'll be grill marks.

John Candy (Del): You play with your balls a lot.
Steve Martin (Neal Page): I do NOT play with my balls.
John Candy (Del): Larry Bird doesn't do as much ball-handling in one night as you do in an hour!
Steve Martin (Neal): Are you trying to start a fight?
John Candy (Del): No. I'm simply stating a fact. That's all. You fidget with your nuts a lot.
Steve Martin (Neal): You know what'd make me happy?
John Candy (Del): Another couple of balls, and an extra set of fingers?

Edie McClurg (Car Rental Agent): I really don't care for the way you're speaking to me.
Steve Martin (Neal): And I really don't care for the way your company left me in the middle of fucking nowhere with fucking keys to a fucking car that isn't fucking there. And I really didn't care to fucking walk down a fucking highway and across a fucking runway to get back here to have you smile at my fucking face. I want a fucking car RIGHT FUCKING NOW!
Car Rental Agent: May I see your rental agreement.
Steve Martin (Neal): I threw it away.
Car Rental Agent: Oh boy.
Steve Martin (Neal): Oh boy what?
Car Rental Agent: You're fucked!

Poltergeist Movie Quotes (1982)

Heather O'Rourke (Carol Anne): They're here.

Zelda Rubenstein (Tangina): There is no death. It is only a transition to a different sphere of conscienceness.

Zelda Rubenstein (Tangina): It lies to her. It tells her things only a child can understand. To her, it simply is another child. To us, it is The Beast.

Craig T. Nelson (Steve Freeling): Tomorrow I'm going to call someone.
JoBeth Williams (Diane Freeling): Like who? I looked in the Yellow Pages. "Furniture Movers" we've got; "Strange Phenomenon," there's no listing.

Beatrice Straight (Dr. Lesh): Some people believe that when you die there is a wonderful light. As bright as the sun but it doesn't hurt to look into it. All the answers to all the questions you want to know are inside that light. And when you walk to it...you become a part of it forever. Now, some people die, but they don't know they're gone.

Zelda Rubenstein (Tangina): Cross over children! All are welcome! All welcome! Go into the Light. There is peace and serenity in the Light.

Princess Bride Movie Quotes (1987)

Fred Savage (The Grandson): A book?
Peter Falk (Grandpa): That's right. When I was your age, television was called books! And this is a special book. It was the book my father used to read to me when I was sick, and I used to read it to your father. And today I'm gonna read it to you.
The Grandson: Has it got any sports in it?
Grandpa: Are you kidding? Fencing, fighting, torture, revenge, giants, monsters, chases, escapes, true love, miracles...
Fred Savage (The Grandson): Doesn't sound too bad. I'll try to stay awake.
Peter Falk (Grandpa):Oh, well, thank you very much, very nice of you. Your vote of confidence is overwhelming.

Cary Elwes (Westley): As you wish.

Mandy Patinkin (Inigo Montoya): Hello, my name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father: prepare to die.
