I don't understand the Patterson-Davis aspect at all! If the three children are nieces and nephew of Uncle Bill, and their father was Bill's brother, why are they not all Davis??? In the very first episode when Buffy meets "Uncle" Bill, she comments he looks very much like her daddy. Well, they were brothers. So, where does the Patterson come in at all? Did the two brothers (Uncle Bill and the kids father) have different last names? Patterson was not the name of Bill's sister in Terre Haute when Buffy stayed with her in the beginning. Can someone explain, please? And, if they are twins, why would Buffy and Jody have different last names? Thank you for any understanding! By the way, I absolutely loved the show when it first aired, and in 45-50 years, it still is wonderful and wholesome. And I have a younger brother and sister twins!
