I am 84 years old. Mama was my favorite TV show in all the years it was broadcast.
I love the movie, I Remember Mama, but I always, and still do, favor the CBS TV version.

It was on kinescope, which deteriorated. Dick Van Patten was once on some talk show, where a clip was shown. He was amazed and asked where it had been found. He said he had tried to find episodes, but had not been able to. The host never responded as to the source of the clip. Perhaps he did not know.

It was on Friday nights and was sponsored by Rice A Roni, “a San Fransisco treat.” Or so the jingle claimed.
