This four door sedan was Cadillac’s best seller again
changes included bolder pointed bumper guards, outboard parking lights
and an L shaped side trim which ended at the rear door

This model was the priciest sedan yet still sold well
the vents or ducts on the rear fender were for the air conditioning system

The car formally known as the Eldorado convertible gets a new name,
renaming it the Biarritz helps to distinguish it from the new Seville hardtop
both models are know sporting the very beginnings of the “shark fin”
which would identify Cadillac’s for years to come

Being the king of luxury cars wasn’t enough for Cadillac
the Brougham was the crown jewel in the line, costing more than two regular Caddy’s
it was virtually hand built, only 400 were made

The Cadillac Brougham had facing rear hinged back doors
air suspension, a stainless steel roof and Eldorado’s new sharper tail fins
1958 Cadillac Eldorado Seville
Not as fancy as the Brougham the Seville was a solid seller
the Eldorado Biarritz convertible came with optional air conditioning (unheard of on a ragtop)
and walrus-hide upholstery (what no PETA?)

Cadillac adopted this new tail fin treatment for all of its models
the new fins weren’t a favorite of the critics but the public loved them
prices for a Caddy ranged from $4800.00 to over $7400.00 for the Biarritz
